During conversations with Americans, you might have notice that there is some hatred reflected in their talks when it is about Canada and its citizens. Actually, there are several reasons why America does not like Canada. The major reason that some people find annoying is the cultural difference between both these countries. America thinks that Canadians have personalities and temperament different from theirs. Thus, Americans and Canadians do not get along well. America also believes that Canada does not have an identity of its own and only tries to copy the American culture.
America hates Canada for being a preacher of superiority. Americans feel that their country is the major superpower in the world and Canada does not stand a chance to meet its level of superiority. It finds Canada possessing several problems that America does not face. These problems include issues like violence, homelessness and poverty. America believes that Canada has more of such issues as compared to their country. The level of development in Canada may not match it in America. That is the reason many Americans do not get a feel of a foreign nation when they visit Canada.
There is more hatred in Americans against Canada, as they do not find anything unique in Canada that they do not find within their own country. Thus, there is a feeling that everything about the Canadian culture is simply copied from America. Many Americans also feel that their infrastructure and systems are much more settled and developed as compared to Canada. Canada is just walking on the path shown by America. From a neutral perspective, it can be said that this hatred is not one-sided, but also follows the other way round. Many Canadians feels the same hatred for Americans. In fact, they consider Americans to be holding a superiority complex that starts their hatred toward Canadians.
