Edson Arantes do Nascimento, commonly known as Pelé in the world of football, is like a synonym to football. This legend footballer is someone who is the central pillar in the game of soccer. This retired Brazilian football player is now 73 years of age and is still regarded across the globe by every soccer expert, critic, player and fan. He is the world’s only player to have won three Jules Rimet trophies. He is the all-time leading scorer in football’s history. In 1,366 matches, Pelé has an astonishing record of scoring 1,283 goals.

His love for the game and his athletic feats fetched him a place among the Top 20 Most Important People of the 20th Century, as declared by the Time Magazine. He was also recognized as the Football Player of the Century by FIFA. Soccer lovers greatly appreciate his commitment to football, which can still be seen in the ambassador roles he plays for the promotion of this game. Pelé has been and will ever remain the face of soccer in this world.
